For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  1 Corinthians 2:11

As a human it is impossible for me to know the thoughts of another person.  i can't look at someone and say what they are thinking about.  Neither can I magically place myself inside the heart or mind of someone, there's no way that's going to happen.  I don't have that kind of power.  But there is One who does, our Creator, and His name is God.
God is omniscience, omnipotent, and omnipresent.  He knows all, can see all, and has power over all.  That's a part of who He is.  He knows everything-at once.  He can see everywhere-at once.  He has all power over everything, everywhere-at once.  He's bad!  So He knows how we think and why we think.  He is the one who created our mind.  He knows our thoughts and intentions before we even have them.  Not only does He know our mind presently, He knows what state our mind will be in 20 years from now!
So, the same way that we individually are the only ones who know our spirit, God is the only one who knows His Spirit.  But, unlike us, mere humans, He has the ability to come into us and dwell.  IF INVITED the Holy Spirit of God will come into our spirit and communicate to us the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10).  Because He is a part of God He knows and understands the Father.  He is in on the conversations of heaven, just as He was in on creation, and He's able to reveal the mysteries of God.  The Holy Spirit knows all things, He knows who we are and will reveal that to us.  He will reveal God's plan for our lives.
But, this can only happen if He is invited in.  If you will give up your heart and accept His.  If you will give up your mind in exchange for His.  If you will let your spirit die and let His live...in you!
What better mind is there to have than the Creator of heaven and earth; the Lover of all that is His; the Peace that calms the storm; the End of the Beginning; the Deliverer from all that is evil; the Giver of Salvation.  The Holy Lord and King, our God!
